Passenger window is faulty
Passenger window is faulty
Hey there Crossfire folks! Our passenger window has been acting up and not going up every time, so we took it to a dealer. They said it's a module that needs to be changed...parts/labor $2500. Anybody had a similar issue and does this cost sound about right? Thanks!!

Like hell it's the BCM. This is TYPICAL dealer troubleshooting, 'Oh, there is an expensive module and since I know nothing about electronics, I'm sure that's the problem. It can't be a motor or a switch or a corroded connection."
As for the cost, keep in mind a new lock cylinder for the ignition is around $200, and it takes no more than 2 hours to change - but every time someone gets one replaced, it runs $850-1200. Dealers are the LAST place you take ANY car.
