Double Din Dash Kit - Teaser - Far from done!
How did this thread just die on the vine? This work is amazing and the finish work is what everybody is clamoring for. I dm'd him directly asking for a status, and pleaded with him to share the source files with the community. Once the files are available we could just either print ourselves or use a service to print them out. I have a place in mind, and could potentially negotiate a bulk order.

This unit seems to be a nice alternative. It comes out in December and I think it retails at around 600$. Not bad

I was wondering if there is any update on this project. Also, I wanted to ask if anyone had the copy of latest .stl files or maybe cad files so that others can experiment with this further.
Thank you,

Go to aozparts.com/Chrysler-Crossfire and you’ll find a group buy on the Double Din kit.
"PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ITS IN THE TESTING STATE"
But this looks promising.
Thanks!!
Its in testing. I promise you it will come to fruition. I’ve seen all the parts and talk to him everyday or every other day. I’ll relay to him about making a post on here to ease peoples minds . He’s in Turkey and doesn’t get on here often. Mostly Facebook. I’m not sure this is even his thread we’re commenting on.
The surface finish of the printed parts will need to be filled or covered in foil to get an acceptable finish.
Ill take that one!
this is awesome!!

I’m confused, can you buy Urban E’s version? Or do you have to buy the version from the guy in Turkey? Any help is appreciated, want to order today.
thanks

That is a one of a kind, it is too expensive to make them because of the parts and time involved.

The guy in turkey offers them. They look great but I’ve yet to see someone install it. The directions for installation says you should use hot glue and/or caulk to hold the radio unit in place which scares me lol I’ve talked to him a few times but he doesn’t explain very well why it can’t screw into place . Hot glue/caulk is a problem waiting to happen in my opinion
It does look great. His website is www.aozparts.com. They have the installation instructions on there so you can see for yourself if you think it would work. The radio “cage” not being screwed in and the recommendation to use the hot glue/caulk is why I haven’t purchased it . I sent the instructions to a good car audio installer and he said he wouldn’t be comfortable doing it. Too much could go wrong/issues waiting to happen. Has anyone on here installed it yet ?
