Default Leather Seats

Did all 2004 Crossfires have Leather Seats? According to Edmunds that is whats on their website. I am trying to buy one and the seller say his has cloth interior. Who is right? Also was 2005 the first year for the Limited?

This seller also indicates the headliner has fallen down. Is this an easy fix?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The base model has cloth seats, I don't know what the cost on the headliner would be from an auto upholsterer.

All 2004 Crossfires had leather in the seats, they were not called Limiteds that year just Crossfires. In 2005 new models appeared and what had been called simply a Crossfire the year before became a Limited model. Base models were stripped versions and had cloth seats.
The roof liner is an easy fix if you are handy, the toughest part is getting the roof panel out of the car, there are videos on how to do the removal and I studied it intently and had it out in a couple of minutes no sweat. There are instructions here on how to remove the old liner, clean the roof panel and glue in the new liner material. The material required is backed with 1/8” of foam and 60” x 60”, 60” x 72” gives you enough material to easily cover the A pillar mouldings as well.
If a car has cloth seats it is a base model unless the seats were swapped out as a few were. Other clues would tell you if it was a true base model. If it was a true base model it would not be a 2004 model.

Does it have black door handles, black windshield trim black inserts where the fog lights are supposed to be?

those are tell tale times that it’s an 05 SE

180 is correct on the 04 being crossfire only. Limited, SE and SRT 2005

The easiest thing would be to run a car report with the VIN

a car report is worth the money. There are a lot of cars on the market from the recent floods. Be careful and get the report

SEs were convertibles, they had cloth seats as well. Base models were coupes and both along with Limited and SRT6 coupes and convertibles.were available in 2005.

I've done the headliner replacement on both of my Crossfire coupes. Both times I removed the headliner, and had an upholstery shop actually do the removing of the old fabric and glue, and gluing of the new fabric to it. I then did the reinstall of the headliner myself. The first time the upholster cost was $150, and the second time $125. Most will also do the removal from the car if need be. Do a forum search and you will find more information on the headliner replacement cost. If you want them to remove and install it in the car that will cost more, as well as for an exact fabric match. I decided to pick a look alike they had in stock.

BTW, I also own a SE convertible. I found with the SE the cloth seats are way more comfortable for me

Thank you all for this valuable information. I do not have the VIN, nor do I have pics of the interior. The seller is elderly and is not techie regarding sending pictures. The car is a few hours away, but I think it will be worth the trip.
