I bought a right 04 slk seat rail from Ebay to install on my 07 limited roadster passenger side and started the switch process. Thanks to Red Runner and Lag Dan for all the time and effort put into the instructions and photos . The problem i'm having is there looks to be other equipment on the bottom of my seat, a occupant sensor system with the purple tags is in the way of connecting the new seat rail. I can't attach the screw drive and motor because it won't clear those parts. Is my 2007 not compatiable with slk seat rail ? Thanks for any help Dcskmail

Yes the passenger seat on the slk has the electric height adjustment giving you up to 1.75" additional height and the Crossfire does not . My 07 is not compatiable it looks like the 04and 05 are. Here's a good riright up that Red Runner posted back in 2015
I did the swap on the passenger seat a year ago. It's an o5 roadster. It changes the seat from a 4 way to an 8 way seat. Its basically R&R if you ordered the right parts and got the right ones shipped. I googled exactly the description in the forum instructions. I compared all the pictures in the forum write up before I bought it, to make sure the 3 motors etc were all there as well as wire harness etc.. My wife loves the fully adjustable feature she has when she's not driving, as do I. Worth the effort in my opinion. When I did it, I also removed the drivers seat and set it up beside the passenger seat on my work table, upside down of course, when I was doing the transplant. Just copy the passenger side, wiring, clips, attachment points etc., the same. The full wiring harness should be in the new rails. You will have to undo some of the original seat harness that is zip tied and tucked in. It all plugs together and the original seat switches on the seat remain. The complete wire harness disconnects with a plug, and stays in the car.

Thanks John, The problem for me is my car is an 07. They made changes to the bottom of the seat adding a occupant sensor system which is directly in the way of the screw drive and motor.
I'm not sure, didn't pull the drivers seat. I wonder if the r171 or slk 350 seat would work. that's something to think about this winter or pull my driver's seat and see how it's setup
You can have the seat out and inspect it in less than an hour. If eight way works on the left it will work with something on the right, only way to know is compare. Take a bunch of pics and then google search till you get a matching picture from an ebay vendor. Maybe the MB forum. They are all MB parts. Spend the winter looking for the correct parts.
The passenger's seat also has the system . You can see it in the photo at the top of this page. It's my passenger seat, the parts with the purple tags on them is the system .

I understand the passenger seat has the occupancy sensor. But isn't it unlikely the driver's side would have an occupancy sensor? I am trying to say it might not help you because for sure the passenger side has it but the driver side has no reason to have an occupancy sensor for the airbag. Make sense now? Just trying to save you from extra work by removing the driver's seat.
