Minnesota X-fires
Stillwater sounds good, but if it's not too far for you, Taylor Falls is a nice drive up from Stillwater on hwy 95. The Eichens (spelling?) cheese farm/factory has a nice assortment of imported ales in their bar and restaurant. Great buffalo meat burgers too. But it's about 30 mins north of Stillwater. All country roads, some winding, 60-65 mph without risking a ticket.
Nothing better than a nice ride in the Crossfire. How about a Sunday afternoon? Stillwater and parts north works fine for me and my wife.

Oh, I don't know about that Winston, the scenic rides on the motorcycle always make me happy, but if not first the drive like this in the Cross is a close second! Anyway, I was going south on Johnnycake Rd in AV this afternoon, about 3:15, just north of the zoo, and what do I see but a dark gray Cross Ltd coupe heading north. Was that you, Mark? I beeped the horn and waved but couldn't tell if the pilot saw me. Anyway, hi to whoever it was. Mark
I unpacked my roadster from storage this morning and put almost 70 miles on it. It's now up to about 1430 miles. This is the first time I've driven it since last Halloween. It was great!
I saw an aero blue Limited roadster at Lakewinds around 3:30 this afternoon. Was that anyone here?
I expected to see more toys on the road today than I did. There was a nice Z4 M at Lakewinds. I saw a Maserati coupe and a new Jaguar XK convertible on Penn Ave. There were a couple of guys exercising their S4s on 394 eastbound around 1:30. I saw two or three C5 Vettes and a couple of Porsches. Doesn't anyone around here own a Ferrari?!?

I saw a black srt6 at the Rosemount Baptist school parking lot on Friday night, where there was a baseball game going on, anybody from here? I live right across the street from the fields.

well, Spring must be here in the far North. I've seen quite a few Cross's out and about. A really nice little machine gray roadster this afternoon on 494 headed e/b, he went down 35W S, a nice black SRT 494 w/b the other morning, the one in Rosemount maybe that one, and a machine gray coupe on Cedar S/B turning w/b maybe at about 137th. Those were all new ones I've seen. So they're out there. Makes it fun. I ran alongside the one today, pilot was in his zone, I beeped, he looked over w/o expression, the he saw my wave, then looked at mine and broke into a wide grin, and waved.
Well, you can always see my little black coupe parked across the street from the St. Louis Park Post Office on Louisiana avenue on nice days. I saw a white coupe and an aero blue roadster near Menards in St. Louis Park last week. It's spring in Minnesota, and the Crossfires come out to play!

I also see a gray Limited coupe downtown in the morning. He comes in on 394, takes the 12th St. exit, turns on LaSalle and parks in the garage in the US Bancorp Center. Always looks sharp. Then there's the dirty red coupe in the church parking lot on Hennepin with the wing perpetually up.
Did anyone else notice this letter in yesterday's Strib?
A May 5 letter writer says that people who buy foreign cars should be ashamed. As a dues-paying union member, I take pride in purchasing American rather than foreign cars.
I drive a Chevy Aveo made in Korea. My wife drives a Chevy HHR made in Mexico. And my fancy new Chrysler Crossfire was made in Germany. Before that, I had a Chevy Camaro that was made in Canada. I know that some Hondas, Toyotas, Subarus and even Mercedes-Benzes and BMWs are assembled here in America, many in union shops.
Oh well, I'm glad I buy from American car companies. Oh, wait -- Chrysler is now owned by ...whom?

Congratulations on your "fancy" new car, Steve!

Well, you found me out. I'm the guy who wrote the letter to the editor. As I said before, you can see my "fancy new" Chrysler Crossfire parked across from the Post Office on 27th and Louisiana on nice days. On crummy days you'll see my little yellow Chevy Aveo. If there's hail in the forecast - I'm taking the Aveo to work!
No that wasn't me. In fact, I wasn't even a Crossfire owner at that time. I bought my brand new '07 base coupe on October 30th of 2008. Thanks for the comment on the letter to the editor too. I've gotten alot of positive feedback about it.
