You and Val will be missed my friend. I hope everything works out for her and wish her a safe return home. I'll keep you posted of any new events.

The weather for our outing is looking a bit dicey.

Snow is coming in but will likely be south of St Louis. Still, some may not want to bring their Xfires. This is normal for the winter meeting.

Cathy and I live but a mile from the meet site so here is what many can consider if they worry about the weather. We have a Jeep and a Minivan both of which do well in the snow and ice. We will be happy to bus folks to the event while they leave their cars secure in our driveway.

Kelly and Debbie will also bring their Jeep.

The winter event is about the friends more than the cars, so ya'll ought to come. It's a blast, a cold blast but fun none the less.

Just let us know.

Just checked the radar and it shows little activity in the area and even then it is South. It is going to be cold, but the XF is going to be on the road today...top up as even if I had heated seats, the wife would be heating up my ear and beating my arm if I put it down.

Is it spring yet?

I'm with you Erzer, Spring can not get here soon enough! We're bringing the Jeep, but even the top down on it would be great!

Just wanted to thank all of you for coming out and enjoying Eagles Day with Kell and I! It was a little chilly but well worth it. Not as many Eagles as there were last year but we still were able to see some. As always, a great and fun group to go out with. We had a great time yesterday.

The food and wine was great at Crown Valley Winery. I hope everyone had just as much fun as Kell and I did. Thank you Franc for setting up the Food at Crown Valley.

Can't wait till our next get together.

Yes, it was a very nice day, thanks to you guys setting it up and for everyone who could make it.

I'm just glad Franc didn't see the governor there sooner
Though the Eagles may have had some entertainment....

Hey!

I know he is a Democrat. But I forgave him.

Then I voted for him.

I can honestly say I have a lot less buyers remorse than many who voted for Barry.

That said, For the record, I was the only official roadster there. Top down and all.

It was only 28 degrees. Hardly that cold. You miserable bunch of wimps.

Yep, with the top down I'm sure that's what the cop thought when you went by...here you thought he was wondering about the license plate.

Hi everyone. I am looking at a 2007 Silver Coupe at Royal Gate Dodge in Ellisville MO. It has 16,000 miles on it. Does anyone kow the car, and if so, is it a good one?

Thanks for any information.

Jim

I know nothing about the car but, I do know the dealer having bought five cars and trucks from them over the last 15 yers.

For the most part they are quite reputable. The Ellisville shop is the best of their group. The repair shop is very good on Chrysler and Dodge vehicles.

That said, they do not have a good rep in the shop for our cars. Make your best deal there but I would take your maintanace and repair work down the street to Glendale ChryslerJeep.

My 2 cents.

I can tell you that no one in the GCG has turned in that car. Let us know if you bite on this one. I'm sure someone here can offer some local hospitality.

Perhaps even a look at the car.

Thanks Franc! That was what I was wondering - if it was a Forum car or if any Forum people knew the car. It is one of maybe 3 cars that I am negotiating on. I am looking for the best car/value for my mother-in-law (who is a nice person so I want to find her a nice XFire!).
The only comment that threw me about this car was that the dealer put new tires on it with only 16K miles (CarFax confirmed). Why so quickly?? Everything else checks out fine.

If I go with this car, I would like to meet up with some of you folks! I'll most likely overnight and then drive the car home the next day.

Best regards,
Jim

The original Contis are only good for 20K Most of us have replaced them by 20 to 25 K miles.

Royal Gate is not a gravel lot reseller. The are a class act and likely wanted the car to look NEW.

I can tell you that I burned up my Conti's, front and rear in 15xxx miles. Keeping in mind that I am a very agressive driver.
Also, FYI SouthCounty Chrysler has 3 black coupes on their lot that are all brand new. The GM is a friend of mine and i'll make a call for you if you are interested.

Thanks Kell. Yes, I would be interested in a Black Coupe (any year), needs to be an Auto. She preferes the Gray interior (not Cedar). Low mileage, and a "time to move it" price.
Thanks,
Jim
