To me that's really going to eat into the days events.

So I just felt the end of the ride in Jamestown would be the best time and place. Fort Wetherall being my choice for that deed due to the area.
Not that we are doing anything wrong or illegal, but Wetherall is a bit more
secluded and private.

Certainly if the "dry-run" team finds a more appropriate spot tomorrow, they are more than welcome to make suggestions too.

As I said way way in the beginning, I may not be able to stay and do all the days events, but I'm going to try like hell.

If I didn't have a previous engagement for later on that day, I would have invited everybody who was going to have the ECU upgrade done over to my house so nobody could say boo about what the Crossfire folks were doing in that there parking lot.
But I'm sure with a little forthought we can make it happen in Jamestown.

Peace
Paul
Paul, No problem! Just trying to put something together that will help XFire owners out as far as performance, drvieability and better gas mileage.

I appreciate your location suggestions and have to totally leave it up to someone like yourself as I know nothing of the area.

AN ECM tune is done by hooking a laptop computer up to your car and reloading more efficent BOSCH desgned software that has been tweaked to make your XFire run better, into your car's computer (ECM).
This brings out the potential engineered into your car.

This process does not violate your factory warranty.

Can anyone start to put together an itinerary with times, addresses, etc. yet, or is it too early.

I am coming up from Long Island and am enjoying the description of all the possibilites but am feeling very confused as to all the places mentioned.

Additionally can anyone post directions to where we will meet? What time and date(s).

Can anyone recommend a decent motel to stay in close to wherever the meet will start?

Thank you in advance and we are really looking forward to meeting everyone and having a good time together!

I totally agree with all of that, Colt offers fireplaces and all of that and plenty of parking in one of the bettr places in all of RI. I'll second that motion and bring it up for a vote!!!

Well if the Bristol thing happens, that would be great. If it turns out that just a few of us head over to Bristol for the last part of the meet, I have a couple of suggestions. The following places have decent food, lots of parking and are right on the water. If we don't want to eat becasue we're too full from the picnic portion of the meet than we could just go for beers and cocktails. Beer, Crossfires, and the bay, what a great combo.

Do the fireplaces function as charcoal grills? If we bring charcoal can we cook burgers and tube steaks? It would be nice to do a little hot food by the chilly water, and burgers and tube steaks are easy to pack in a cooler.

I like the Colt State Park idea. What say the majority?

Colt is good by me. If there are fire places and we have to cross the bridge then I guess it nakes one more Crossfire

That's my thought too. I might even bring some steaks to do up, ain't nuthin better'n a good steak cooked on a grill. Tater salad and some green olives stuffed with pimentos, a nice blanket and a nice bunch of folks to share our love of Crossfires with. What can be better than that? Mixed crowd, I have to watch what I say but you get the drift

A cookout sounds like fun!!! When our office has one I usually get cooking duty. I can bring a back of charcoal and some lighter fluid... and utensils - lots of cooking utensils!!!

I am asking everyone going on Cape and/or Newport to send me your cell number and e-mail. I will put them on a single e-mail and send them to all that sent them inthat way there's no personal info posted on a public forum.

Please send them to phantomsailor2002@yahoo.com by next Friday.

what is the difference between a Sprint booster and flashing the ECU? Sorry for my ignorance, all I really know about cars is to put good gas in it. HAHHA

I think the Colt State Park idea is a great one. The only thing that could screw it up would be lousy weather. I don't know about you guys, but if the weather is not good I would rather eat inside a nice warm restaurant.

I'll leave it to one of the people more familiar with that area to give accurate directions. I do know it's easy to find.
