Hello all, new Crossfire owner and new to the board.
Looking forward to exploring the new car and I'm sure I will be utilizing the expertise of the board. Thanks in advance and please bear with me when I undoubtedly show my ignorance.
Welcome to a great Forum. This Forum has saved me $thousands$ by learning how to do many repairs, replacement, modifications myself. What do you have (mileage, color, etc.)? Location?
As always, there is no such thing as a stupid question ! As a recent newbie I share your situation. A couple of quick points - the battery must be in good shape, the top only works if the trunk is closed and the storage curtain is up and - don't be tempted to race every z350 or boxster. Enjoy !
The car is White, 2004, Automatic, Coupe, 42,000 miles. Bought it from a Ford dealer in Utah via the internet. $9700 was the price and I thought it was fair. Car is in near immaculate shape with 2 tiny dings in the drivers rear quarterpanel. Mechanically the TPMS light is on and I have a light throttle whine from the differential above 65MPH. BTW, I live in Wyoming so got to drive the car 6.5 hours home. Handles nice, is very quick from 65-120mph when passing on Wyoming wide open two lanes. The downside is I'm 6' tall and couldn't get very comfortable in the seat. I also felt every pebble in the road it seems. These cars must have some stiff spring rates. I will eventually get around to posting a pic of the car, first I need to take a few.
Thanks for the nice welcome!

Welcome Wes,
That does sound like a fair price.
Enjoy all the info that can be found here on the forum and enjoy all the miles ahead.

Welcome aboard Wes! I know that you are up in Casper, but you are certainly welcome to join us for driving events in Colorado. Check out our current thread, https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...13-events.html, for upcoming events.
As for the seat, you will eventually find a position that works for you. I'm not sure what kind of tires you have on the car, but these can make a big difference in the ride. Also make sure that they did not overfill the tires. I heard two stories today of dealerships and tire shops over inflating tires (which may explain your TPMS light).

I didn't realize that overinflated tires would trigger the TPMS. I do know that the tires are all around 40psi, so they are indeed over inflated versus what the door placard states. They are Continental's with a bizarre schizoid tread pattern. I will let some air out and see if that cures the problem. It may also explain some of the harsh ride characteristics. Thanks for the club get together invite. I will check my calender on the off chance I have a free weekend. My daughter's softball obligations have pretty much erased my free time this summer.
^^^ ignore him.. we all try to! LOL.. Everyone knows it's right to go white! And 10 feet from the car it still looks dust free 2 days after cleaning her!
hey the black looks great and dust free after a cleaning... for like 5 minutes... but still.
