Default Possible owner...

Hi, just a quick hello from England, possible new owner here. I've seen a few of these cars on the road and never thought I'd own one (diesel estate is my normal transport) but they have always looked good.

The boss has sort of granted permission (!) for a new funday car for me - and being American she really likes the Crossfire styling as do I so I started to look at the specs - and I like the engine! Trouble is I'm 6'2 tall - should I even bother? Every forum seems to say that the car is not good for those over 5'10.

Prices seem good for convertibles on the 04/05 plate - heck of a lot of car for the money.

We are going to see one on Sunday which should tell me.... but damm they look good.

I'm not handy with spanners etc... but I can manage an oil change. These are reliable vehicles are they not? Otherwise it's down the SLK (related) or BMW route.

Welcome to the Forum,
I'm 5'11" and there is plenty of room for me. I am also in MK, so if you do get one let us know. As far problems go,they are rare but if you read the forum they look common, who is ever gonna post no problem. However if you want to know the answer to any issue, the guys on here are GREAT and normally know the answer or will try to find one.

Mr K

Welcome Sir! Head room is a little limited, but I am 6'1 3/4 inches tall, with most of My height in My torso, and I have no problems with headroom. Heck my son's 08 Focus has much less headroom than my Crossfire. You will be just fine, I would think that 6'3" + should be concerned, but if its Your funday car, then the roof will be down most the time You drive it anyways!

Well I tried a coupe yesterday - didn't really get on with it - Sorry chaps - Crossfires are not for me. And wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same car? Happy Motoring all. Bye.
