I was having problems with the way my 2005 Crossfire starts. Sometimes right up and sometimes it was kind of slow. I changed my Crankshaft Sensor since the scanner detects that had to do it. But the problem persist and now the check engine light came back on. Any help? Thank you !!
The ECM is getting no data at times or data that is not agreeing with what the Cam Sensor is telling it. What is the part number on the sensor you put in there? Sounds to me like you bought a generic cheapy and not the OEM sensor we always preach about...
I've bought three of these from GAS, used one in my car, used two in other people's cars - never an issue.
I know eBay is a great place to get stuff, I use it all the time. But not for electrical parts for the car.
There is no guarantee this is the problem, but the car is known for being fussy about the electrical sensors you put in it.
My car was throwing P0335 and stalled at a light. It restarted, I drove the 1/4 mile to the office and changed the sensor in the parking lot. (I carry, have ALWAYS carried, a spare CPS and my Ultraguage displays any codes set
.)
The only problem that i have is when i start the car. Sometimes its fast, sometimes it takes time. One day it did not want to start. After i wait a couple of minutes it starts again. After a week of the replacement the check engine light came back on. So i guess i will have to buy another sensor. Thank you all for your help !!!

This can be low fuel pressure, filthy MAF, etc.

You left something out here - did it refuse to 'crank' (that is, refuse to engage the starter, or did the crank and turn over but not start? These lead to separate diagnostic paths and separate fixes.

If the car is throwing a P0335, then yes. A check engine light tells us NOTHING. Reading the code in this case, P0335, tells us a lot - in this case, it tells us that the ECM has logged errors that indicate the crank sensor is presenting odd or illogical data to the ECM. Changing it would seem like step 1.

just replace the RCM and 90% says your problem is fixed, now that u changed the sensor the RCM is the heart of this carNOT THE ECU ,, and if it does not beat the car does strange things,, always carry a spare RCM,Crank sensor and a cam sensor.
Harbor; I will like to buy one from you. Cicci; Crank and turn over but dont start. Its like you need to hit the gas to get it to start. Is that close. Even that everyday now keeps starting but im not using the car. AMX1397 i cant go. I work weekends. Are you local? Can you or someone you know check my car? Thank you all for your help !!!
