Convertible Problems
Hi, I just got my first Crossfire two weeks ago. Enjoying it so far, but I can't put the top down. After looking at the wiring diagram and trouble shooting the pins at the "Power Top Controller Module". I found that I have a bad "Roof Open Switch" also called "Top Open Switch". I located it on the passenger side of the top. Tried to see if I can remove it from its bracket but it seems to be a one piece unit. has anyone on here been able to fix or replace this switch. Can you tell me how. My other thought was to just short pin 7 to ground so it will work. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
You can manually put the top down or splice the wires to the switch. Just be sure to always unlatch the top from the frame before pushing the button.
I noticed that on the "Roof Open Switch" it didn't click when I depressed it. It looked like the rubber boot wasn't allowing the switch to go all the way up. I cut of the boot of with a x-acto knife and moved away the pieces. Now it is able to travel all the way up and clicks when depressed. Retired the top and it works. But a new problem surfaced. When the top is going down the back of the top (glass part) doesn't fully seat. It stays open about an inch. Any ideas?

This will also upset the sync, the "top open" switch must open when you pull the top down onto the windshield frame, as pin 7 must go high, indicating a completed cycle.
I do not believe the rear bow latch will engage with that sensor showing "top open" as well.

If you make and post a video, I can tell you if its the cylinder, bow latch sensor or some other issue.
