David send me dash plaque ideas. one with the car pointed left, and the other with the car to the right. Let me know what way you guys like the best and I'll send the design to Andrew and get pricing. I know most of you were burning rubber this past weekend, but please let me know by thursday evening what direction you want the car to face on the dash plaque. if i dont hear anything I'll just flip a coin and go from there. I like both designs, so i dont think we can go wrong.

50 dash plaques and 10 awards. I'll send everything to Andrew this weekend for prices.

I'm going to marley station cruise this saturday to pass out flyers. They dont allow modern cars on the lot, but if anyone wants to hang out and chat for a couple hours, I'd enjoy the company. you can just park on the mall's parking lot with the other modern cars that show up.

I'm interested but I doubt I'll be able to make it. I'm taking the Crossfire to the Stealership to get the coolant flushed and the breaks changed out. (Don't judge.......I'd rather do it myself but I don't have the time and until I find an independant I trust, I'm going to have to go to a place where they may know enough about the car to do the "basics").

It's never been in to the dealer before (9 years now) except to get the tranny connector replaced. Never been serviced other than oil and filter changes done by myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!!

If you all have a trusted place, send along the info. I'm going to DAR Cars in Rockville. That's where Pat Pur had his serviced before.

If you're content with using a dealership and you dont mind the drive, I would strongly suggest going to Tate Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Glen Burnie, MD 21061. They have a certified Crossfire Master Technician named Fred Meganhartt. Ask anyone that attended the NCCAR event this past weekend about Fred. He knows our cars better than anyone. Plus he takes great care of COM members.

maaaaaaan rear pads are stupid easy to replace. front pads, not sure. mine were making a noise, pulled off the front wheel to look at the pads and still had over an inch left. must have just gotten hot. at least i have the parts ready to replace them.

A friend of mine takes his Charger to DAR in Rockville. Ive seen a crossfire in there, and since DAR is a couple blocks from my office i sometimes get parts from there. you should be ok there, make sure they replace the mounting hardware for the pads. the mounting hardware is really only to be used once.

If you go to Tate tell them you are a member of CICCI/COM and you will get a discount.

Hey Jason...I might swing by Saturday = what year Fury we talking here?
What time you going to be there?

Paul - I had Mister Tire do rear brakes and they have made noise ever since when moving to and from a stopped position - don't think they lubed the backs of the pads and keep meaning to pull them and do that but I have no place to work on it anymore. I did the front pads myself - no big deal - just could NOT get the rotor off and don''t have a puller, but they were in excellent shape still, so left them and just did the pads. Had no issues. And I'm at 95,000 miles now.

Jason - what hardware are you talking about needing replaced each time?

Dave, here are the fliers with the change to the Sheltie rescue webb address. Hope we have it all now.

two versions - same info

I'll work on the dash plaque but we may need Jason to rev it up if you need super high res - but this thing is so small it should not make much difference.
Thanks Dave I will have to increase my proof reading ability.

1966 fury, white body, black top, red interior. usually sitting by the entrance where the movie theater sign is. should be there between 5 and 6. going to stay for an hour or so. long enough to pass out our flyers. I can only look at the same 112, 1969 SS camaros that show up every week, for so long until i get bored.

The rear brake hardware is a set of pins and shims that keep tension on the pads. the front is a heavy gauge wire that attaches to the caliper also keeping tension on the pads. they are only like $10 a kit from the parts stores. the shop manual recomends replacing them every time. if they were not broken when the new pads were put on, you should be ok. just remember next time for sure.

Thanks for the insight - I'll keep that in mind. Maybe thats the noise I am hearing in the rear - I'm sure they didn't replace the hardware!

So - to be clear, you are going to Marley Station and Clarksville this Saturday?

i replaced the hardware and put the goo on the back of the pads, and they still make a little noise when they get hot. not the entire time i have my foot on the brake, just right as the car stops. not sure what causes it.

marley station yes for sure, Clarksville, doubtful. doesnt look like anyone else wants to go, so I'll just stay home and clean the car during the day.

Thanks Guys.
I'd tackle the brakes myself but I really don't have the time. I definitely want all the hardware replaced (that should be standard when doing the brakes and the kit's I've seen come with the new hardware so I would expect (and pray) they change it all out and lube them as they are supposed to.
I'm kind of shocked that the wear light is coming on given I only have 23K on the car. It could be a sensor but I definately want to get it checked out. I'm sick of the dust too so I'm going to go ceramic.

Chas, thanks for the reminder on the dealer in Glen Burnie. It's just too far for me to burn a day to go there. However, if my service experience doesn't go like I'd like it to then I may have to take the plunge and head out that way since you guys seem comfortable with them.

Jason, I'm going to try to set up the meeting at the winery for next weekend (the marketing person may not work on the weekends so it may have to be on the Friday). Are you available next Saturday (June 16th?) Or Firday the 15th?

Saturday the 16th is good for sure. Friday the 15th would have to be after work. Ive got a bunch of vacation time planned in july, so ive got to finish my projects this month, and cant take any more time off.
