rear big brakes f/s
i have a set of cl55 rear calipers for sale. by adding a small sleeve into the caliper mounts (12mm od x 10mm id x 19mm tall) these are a bolt on massive upgrade brake setup. trim the dust shields and add a set of slk55 330mm rotors and they work perfectly with the c32 or slk55 front calipers. they retail for 380$ each (760$ for both )
500$ plus shipping. i have the same setup on my car and its flawless the sleeves cost me 50$ from a machine shop

No reply from the second seller(cl65). However I can make out a number from the pics. I believe this would be a Brembo casting #: 20 80 42 02
I appreciate your help 32crazy
With the increase in brake pot quantity and diameters is the master cylinder changed? Nobody mentions that so I assume the answer is no.
My calculations show that the increase in oil required to move the SRT brake pistons the same amount as the NA pistons is 20%, this based on the difference in the area of the pistons. This means the MC pistons have to move more in the SRT with a corresponding increase in brake pedal movement. Would this be a correct assumption?

turbomar as soon as i get off my lazy butt ill jack up the car and see if i can see the part # on my calipers
couldnt see the part # sorry its on the inside and i didnt want to remove the caliper. 330 mm rotors in the back jeremy. the cl55 was the same set i sold to miker. add a 10mm id x 12mm od x 19 mm tall sleeve and trim the backing plate. buy slk55 rear rotors and its a bolt on
The stock SRT-6 front rotors are 330mm and I have a set. I assume they wont work but maybe I should do a trial fit. Hummm. I don't know about those sleeves/spacers 32. Do you think they'd stand up to Puerto Rican braking?

front rotors wont work on the back les. ebrake remember? the sleeves will stand up to whatever you toss at them. their only purpose is to allow you to run the 10mm oem mount bolts . they fill the tiny gap because the cl55 use a 12mm bolt.
I can imagine why 12mm bolts are used. The caliper is mounted further out from the center, causing a greater torsional force. Has anyone ever thought of drilling and tapping the mounting bossed to the larger bolt size?
Ok Steve, I'm going to find out what the change will cost me in terms of new Carbotech pads and new slotted rotors to go along with the calipers. I'll give you a yay or nay ..... or offer in the next couple of days.

les i dont have any calipers for sale. they were sold to miker a couple months ago
the rotors i used are oem 2005 slk55 which run about 375$ a set. racing brake will build you a set of rear 2 piece rotors with a brinnell hardness of 277 for about 1200$. lighter also. i have them on the front but oem on the rear for now
