Not to muddy the thread, but are you ever going to give us a little peak at that Lotus?
Best of luck with the build (both of you)!
Honestly if you own a Benz or a Crossfire IMO you need DAS. Screw OBD scanners, even the best on the market give you the run around considering they give you a basic understanding of the problem. It's like adult school vs harvard honestly.
Plus, if you get DAS and you ever need an ECU from me it makes the job a million times smoother
Hey guys,
I have been involved in off road racing for a few years now, but about a year ago I got really involved! I sold the lotus and bought a vintage Class 1 Unlimited buggy which we are restoring for the NORRA Mexican 1000 Rally. I have done this rally three times mostly as a team member and got hooked. The race is four days, over 1300 miles though the roughest terrain in the world. here is the build thread:

Here are some pictures of the DAS System.

Doc, There is a simulation mode that allow you to play with it and get familiar with it without hooking it up to a car. It is menu driven, you can tell when you get to developer mode because it turns into German! This system is best for someone doing or has a V8 conversion. I did use it successfully on my car when it still had the V6 in it. I am not sure how if would communicate with an SRT. Some functions could be limited when a computer's part number is not common to a MB. Chrysler didn't use DAS, They used a really crappy system. I posted this on Benzworld since it will do anything to a Mercedes but listed here because some of the guys here have used them and/or want one.
