Remember, I own a Coupe too!
I just read your post & had a great laugh & then remembered my little excitement on the way home today & had to respond!
Re: Smoked by SL55 AMG
I spent all my life & money in my crossfire *lol*, that's the reason why I'm faster than stock.
I worked with TVT Design & VÄTH, and I also visited Brabus in Germany.
VÄTH is a German company which pimps crossfires. I guess you guys don't speak german, but check this out:
http://www.autobild.de/artikel/elia-...v35_46692.html
But to be honestly, even after all this expensive tuning, I lose against the SRT6. BTW, when I said I won against the Mustang GT, it was like 10 inch …
I would always recomend TVT Design, Anthony rocks, and big service.

Right, Kurtz?
Of course, to get back on my good side, he'll have to FedEx me a couple of pounds of cheese curds.
And they had better still squeak!!!

AWESOME!!! But what have you done to your car??
I'm not trying to be a doubter or rude, just curious as to what you have done to make it one of the fastest N/A's if it is as you claim..

Well, per the wife, her store gets 'em fresh, warm & squeaky every Thursday from right down the road.
I'm supposed to tell you that if you buy her car (it's now HER Coupe & deep down she doesn't really want me to sell it, I think. After 32 yrs. I still can't figure out women.) she'll throw in several pounds free : a deal that cannot be beat!
Besides, FedEx couldn't get them all the way down yonder in time!
Of course, we're now waaaaaaaay off topic!

Re: Smoked by SL55 AMG
Don't bash the S2000, I used to own one and IMO it's a far better machine than a NA Crossfire. I actually think it was more fun to drive than my SRT-6. The SRT-6 has raw power which makes up for the lack of shifting through a tight 6speed. Besides I haven't seen any Crossfires running 13's NA. Some S2k's can do it stock, but it took me a few more mods in the Louisiana heat and humidity.

Later that same night on the way home I tried messing with a black 911 on the PA Turnpike, failing to notice the "Turbo" on the back. Ouch!

I did have a run in with a Porsche Cayman S, he was quite surprised. Honestly I was too, until I got home and looked up the specs.

Re: Smoked by SL55 AMG
I hung in with a M3 ('99-02 i believe) and a Terminator in my N/A....then again it was in the 100-130 range and we weren't racing...just an accelerated joy ride... both were impressed when we all came off the highhway and hit the stoplight.
i'm think that once this bad boy is paid off in a year or so that i'm gonna get a BMW335. They are about 10k ish less than an M3 and with a $1500 chip/tune i'm faster than a stock M3....brand new M3's i'm talking about. so we'll see how that turns out a year from now....fortunately when my crossy is paid off.... i severely doubt its getting traded in. prolly just garaged and brought out for special occasions haha...
damn, i love this car.

It was a way too fast. Has anyone raced the SL55 AMG with the SRT6? I guess this would be fairer.
