Default A fine day at the track

Today I had track time, shared with race car practice and my car ran spectacular. I set a personal best by 2.5 seconds thanks to the Z214 tires, working meth and extra umph. The second heat the meth malfunctioned from the start so I ran without it. The car ect's and iat's were higher sans meth but within reason. I slowed 1 second without the spray keeping things cool. My prior best was 107.8 and today I ran 105.2. Believe it or not, my IAT's were much cooler today, the only change being reconnecting the cooling and intercooler systems. A little rethinking might be in order for those of us that need 20 minutes or more of WOT over temp resistance. I can't tell you how happy I am. I could feel the extra power at the top of 3rd and in 4th. I really need to get back to the dyno now that I fixed the leaky gaskets. I finished early after brushing some drums and cones, seemed like a good time to pack it in, (no damage) but I couldn't find any peace. Everyone wanted to know WTF I'd done to the car because it was flat out amazing. I even got interviewed track side for television. The car was filthy from the track and they filmed the scuffed side but I was flattered that they couldn't leave without finding out about my car and filming a spot on me and my car. I'm a star like Grip! The ole GoPro just wont film reliably anymore. I've got nothing on the card. The reason I haven't posted many videos. A few pre event photos will follow and perhaps one after battle.

I'm glad to hear your XF is back to kicking *** and taking names. I'm still running the stock heat exchanger, pump, and the system isn't separated. I'll be keeping it that way.

Some photos taken at the track can be found in the link. I think I'm lifting a wheel in one of them!

I'm throwing in the towel and getting a new camera for racing. There was some great footage lost this time.
