Now I know y'all aren't going to let the Ohio Valley group out do you, they're going with polo's and the logo in the below link. Just keep in mind we will have T's with our event logo available so just make sure you represent TX

To all of the Southern Group that will be meeting at the Cracker Barrel on Monday, I've got a suggestion for a lunch stop.
This is a place that we saw on an episode of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. It's called "The Cafe on the Route", because it's on the old Route 66 in Baxter Springs, KS. It's an old bank building thats been converted to a Diner and is run by Chef Richard Sanell of the Culinary Institute of America. Here's a link to the Cafe .: Cafe on the Route :.. They've got a great lunch menu and it's not too far off I-44. I thought since they are set up like a diner, lunch wouldn't take that long to be served. And it's a cool looking building, we could get some good photo ops also.
What do you all think?

Great job everybody. Looking at your starting point it looks as if you'll take I44 straight up to I270 then to I70. I'll keep an eye on construction and try to post any recommended changes as I travel that stretch of I270 daily.

Not sure where you are talking about, but there is one only about 9 miles from the OK/MO boarder in Joplin right off of I44, unless you y'all are not taking that route.

Erzer, Joe is talking about the "Cafe on the Route" in Baxter Springs, KS. It looked like a cool spot for a lunch break about midway from OKC to STL. It's on the old Route 66 thru Baxter Springs. Just a side jump off I-44.

Sounded good to us also, the food looked incredible on D,D,&D. I thought it wouldn't take too long for lunch and it's on Old 66.
We'll see you all Monday morning at the I-35 CB.

PS-I'll bring maps, incase we get sepperated on the highway somehow.

Good Morning Southern Group,
I received an e-mail back from the Cafe-on-the-Route. I had warned them of a bunch of lunatics, driving Crossfires, wanting to decend on their restaurant.
They would like to know of how many to expect?
I'll start the list:
1) Diane and Terry
2) Danny and Sonia
3) Joe and Helana
4)Char
5)Eric
6)SRT SIX (plus 1)
7)Wedge (plus 1)
8)tburris
Please add your name if you want to stop for lunch at the "Cafe". I'd like to give them a few days heads up if possible.
Thanks, Smfrycruzr (Terry)
