Atlanta GTG !!!
The thread has some momentum going now. The 28th sounds like the better choice for attendees. Gives folks some time to plan. If we go to The Varsity or any other place you choose, just make sure & provide some directions for those of us that aren't familiar with Atlanta area.
Keep this going!

I suggest 1 pm - but since I am less than 40 minutes away, I can go with any time at all, but again, for now, let's say 1 pm.

Ok, as far as I can tell, there are no Georiga or Georgia Tech games that day - so the Varsity shouldn't be over-run with people.
For anyone wanting to go to the Aquarium, admission is about $26 plus $9 per car to park. Not sure if they have any tickets available for that day, anyway. (At one time, they were booked months in advance, don't think it's that bad anymore).
I have a date to go listen to some Bluegrass music that evening... someone else's treating me to it, if anyone else is interested let me know and I'll find out about ticket prices and who is playing - it's some famous bluegrass guy/combo, but not Allison Krause and Union Station - sorry!
EDIT: Here is the info!
Ralph Stanley II and the
Bullsboro Bluegrass Band
Saturday, August 28th at 7:00 pm$12 Adults, $10 Students & Seniors
Center for performing arts in Newnan, GA.

You'll just have to keep up with us srt6's.
Maybe there will be a few others that would join us on the way.

I figured that, Dan. This is a first-time effort - suggested by someone, I'd have to go back and look.
But, anyway, it's a start.
See you in October!
But, anyway, it's a start.
I can find us something to do... Aquarium, etc.
Im still coming, don't know if it will be in the crossfire as I need tires and its not exactly in viewed by another owner shape at the moment (dirty, front bumper scratches, lol)

Drive it anyway, Infinite! And I'll be there, of course, I only have about 25 mins to get to downtown - so there is on reason for me to miss it - and besides, I've never had lunch at the Varsity anyway.
I'm going to say 75% sure...
I'll see if Steve (32krazy) can tag along. I know he's nursing a differential, but Wavetrac is coming through for us so he should be able to rest easy.
Unless I missed it, any idea on lunch venue?
**EDIT**
Just figured out that the "Varsity" is the lunch place... LOL. I went back and read bob's post.

I was depending on your knowledge of downtown, Infinite!
Busy week at work here... busy in my personal life, too. BUT, it was MY idea, I think.
I just don't know downtown very well.

car is running a bit off so no road trips for me this weekend. There is a local big all nighter drag event that I will have to miss also
. UNLESS I can get her running better, but count me out for this time, sorry.
So it's me and Dedwards as sure things...
Infinte and JMHK as possibles.
I have edited the opening post to reflect those who have said a definite yes or no.
I will keep doing that all week.
Again, I am only 1/2 hour from the Varsity so I'm going no matter what.
