Roll Call Alabama/Georgia
Did all of our Crossfire family survive the Alabama/Georgia Twisters? If you haven't already call up your crossfire brothers/sisters who live in the area and see if they're okay. If not let us know if there's anything they may need.
Anyone heard from Max, Jason, Lori, or Mel?

Yea, Northern Alabama and Northern Georgia were really pounded yesterday and last night!
There was some damage down by Macon - has Bmorgan checked in?

I hope all of our friends are ok in all of these states.
"We have 204 for the state of Alabama, including 36 in Tuscaloosa," an emergency management spokeswoman said, referring to one of the worst-hit counties.
Officials warned that the definitive toll of what was already the worst tornado disaster to hit the United States in decades would probably not be known for days.
The overall toll includes 34 deaths in Tennessee, 33 in Mississippi, 14 in Georgia, 12 in Arkansas, five in Virginia, two in Missouri, and one in Kentucky, according to state officials.

I don't know of any other forum members here in Mississippi. Most or all the fatalities and destruction in Mississippi were just to the South of me. Relatives in Alabama are without a roof (YES, they did have one until yesterday).
I'm glad to see some names I recognize from nearby checking in.

In a sad sort of way...
Hey guys.... Sorry, I have not been around much lately, and just saw this post. We just got some rain here. The family is doing fine. Thanks so much for thinking about us and asking.

Hi All! .........North Alabama just checking in! It was a wild week following such devastation! My immediate area was spared but within 30 miles it looks like a bomb went off. Nothing but slabs left to homes and miles of devastation. I was in Phil Campbell today and it is sad to see people experiencing so much loss of life, belongings and counting their blessings to have the clothes on their back and that is it! The people are in need of so much! There have been lots of volunterism going on but it's going to take a long time to recover the damage caused by 210 mph winds for 106 miles in a path 1.5 miles wide. They spent alot of time reporting from Ttown but I think the worse was in the Hackelburg/Phil Campbell area. We were lucky during the storms the wall cloud that was spotted over the University of North Alabama didn't develop as that was right in the area that I live and work. For those living in an area with storm siren system........RESPECT them! I have heard so many stories on how people have become complacent and do not respect their warning. If these storms would have moved thru during the night time it would have be catastrophic. Thanks for thinking of us Bama residents!
On the brighter side we should get together for a ride and lunch at the Rattlesnake Cafe. Uncle O......are you up to a visit to the family in Tuscumbia? Alabama/Tenn/Georgia Crossfires what do you think??
Have a great week!

I'm a bit late with the roll call but just wanted to check in. We are fine were spared damage. One of our large trees uprooted and carefully placed on my shop and another tree, but propped in such a way that its weight was supported without causing distruction. It was the removal that had to be planned carefully, but all is well and we are so much luckier than some of our N. Alabamians. Cheers
Sorry for taking so long to reply.
I was in Hsv, then went to T-town the day after the tornadoes hit. It was pretty bad everywhere! Tuscaloosa wasn't bad all over, but there were several areas that were very bad. I was there 5 days and got hack to Hsv the day the electricity came back.
Hope all of you are doing good now.
Thanks for asking about us!
