Default Speed Alarm (How to Remove?)

How do I get rid of that extremely annoying alarm that goes off if I go over 70 miles and hour.

Why would you ever want to go over 70 mph?

God... I am so glad I don't have that little 'feature'. Would drive me insane.

Speed alarm?...the only alarm that goes off is if your rear spoiler does not deploy (XFire Limited). Did you pull the fuse on the spoiler?

There is an alarm on the Limited's when the spoiler does not deploy at speed over 62 - 63 MPH.

Well, it looks like the original poster might have an issue with his spoiler he is unaware of.

I have beeps that sound whenever I exceed 90 mph. Since my car is gutted for race use only, for the last year I thought it was coming from my onboard lap timing system, but quickly figured out that it was not. I have learned to use it to my advantage... Without looking down at the speedo, I can gauge my speeds audibly while approaching corners...

Turns out to be a handy little (unexpected) driving aid... I don't know why yours activates at 70 mph...

There is a function in the Instrument Cluster (IC) that can be activated to warn if speed exceeds 70 MPH. Unfortunately, the only way I know of to turn it off is to take it to the dealer. A factory scan tool must be used. It should only take a few minutes if they have the correct and up to date tools.

I once got an alarm as I came down from 88 mph but that was because Mr. Fusion was empty...
