There, I fixed your post for you, since I know that's what you really meant to say, but were pressed for time while writing.

Quick question....... just bought a 2005 Limited Coupe and this is one of several issues, won't go into the others at this time.

Only received one (1) key ..... the Red Button for the panic button was cut out (red rubber)... why I have no clue..... from reading the manuel I'm under the impression that needs to be pressed to set the Alarm system.... is that correct?

Or is the alarm system automatically activated when pushing the Lock Button?

Thanks!

I have 005380 miles on my 2005 Limited roadster. I have driven just a little more than 200 miles since I bought it last week. The only major problem that I have had is that I can't get this big grin off of my face.

the key is just worn. the red button is a panic. the alarm is armed when locking. i only got one key as well when i bought mine. not sure if an extra key was considered an option, but nevertheless, pray you lose the car before the key. i had a scare once and it isnt fun when you have no idea where the key went.

Alarm system is activated when you press the Lock button.
The Panic button is if you are being mugged.
You press and hold the Panic button for several seconds, and then the alarm system on the car goes crazy, causing the mugger's ears (and yours too) to start bleeding from the high pitched wail.

Dogs will go crazy, and attack anyone in the vicinity, so make sure to get into your car and lock the doors before the dogs kill everything in site.

The alarm is really annoying, and hurts, if you haven't gathered yet.

Thanks all......... for clearing up how the alarm and panic button function. Looks like the previous owner cut the red area of the panic button off for whatever reason he/she had with it.

As for only receiving one (1) key.... will have to look into getting a second for piece of mind.... guess this has to be done through a Chrysler dealer.

2004 limited 34k had the following problems:
-crank shaft sensor
-mistery no start (relay control module).
-1 key fob was pronounced dead by the dealer
-cup holder
-valve cover leak

and many self inflicted issues with ECU programing

1 question I changed the oil and drove 5 miles home, stored the car for 7 months. Now do I change the oil again or drive on it? I drive 1k miles a month so I don't want to let a year pass by you know?

86,000 miles 2006 limited, just bought it at 80,000 miles.
Repairs:
-Valve covers gaskets replaced
- Breather covers resealed
- Full transmission tear down and rebuild with all brand new parts
- All of which was covered by my extended warranty
- Have also done air filters, oil and filter, spark plugs and wires, brake pads, tires, aftermarket radio, window tints, transmission flush and throttle body cleaning since I bought the car 6 months ago
- Anything else I need to do you think?

I'd stick with the FSS recommendations for now, Paul. My radio's on RTFM now I started in the back and am 1/3 of the way through the owner's manual now.

Oh, to answer the thread starter's question: 12,082 when I stole it from the stealer Monday. No major problems with the car. Only issues to date:

Moisture condensation in front headlights
Weatherstripping/wind noise
Interior trim groans and creaks (I thought I was driving a Detroit product WTF!?!)

Mebbee I should chalk those issues up to the car sitting outside at the dealer after being a garage queen the first seven years of its life

Just hit 70,000 on my SRT-6-- Few small problems- only one major one and that was a bearing in the hub of the Super charger pulley started make noise. My extended warranty picked everything up but the deductable. The total charge was about $1800. Just decided to garage our Crossfire in Florida in April when we travel back to the North to cooler weather. Just bought a 2011 VW Tiguan. Just can't get away from those German made Vehicles.

I'm getting close to 80,000 miles now and I haven't had any problems. Just oil changes and routine maintenance. I'm flushing the radiator and putting in new spark plugs in the next couple of weeks just for kicks. Surprisingly, my '04 is still on the OEM battery and probably the original crankshaft position sensor as well so I plan on changing those out this Spring as a precaution. Actually, the only issue I can think of is that a lightbulb or two has been burned out on the car since I bought it. The bulb in the upper left corner of the passenger side headlight is out and I know I have one more that's out too but can't figure out which one. I'm thinking it might be a license plate bulb.

I'm definitely pleasantly surprised at how little I've spent in maintenance in the past 14 months of ownership. Other than oil changes, brake pads, headlight bulbs, and tires, it hasn't needed a thing. That hasn't stopped me from upgrading a few bits though.

Our '07 Coupe is fast approaching 11,000. Took the coupe to Savannah, GA a couple of weekends back. Got 25 MPG down & back. Not bad for a performance-oriented 2-seat, sports car driven somewhat aggressively at 80-85 MPH practically the whole trip. Car continues to keep me in a state of 'perma-grin'. And the looks just keep on coming!
