Here's another interesting read, a comparison of octane boosters. Hopefully I can offset the balance of off-topic replies from mrnipple-nose, mrdesperate-for-attention himself:

http://sportscarforums.com/f13/tolue...oice-3257.html

The source was "Fast Fours Magazine" from 1999, which is Australian mag. So take it for what it's worth, some of the products mentioned probably aren't available in the US (unfortunately).

(By the way, mrphotoman, your cyber-bullying crap is what pisses me off. Not just to me, either. So once ya stop doing that to people, I'll take ya off my ignore list!)

Talking Re: Experimenting with Toluene

Going the other way, please see my GENERAL SECTION post about alternative fuel source, thought that this might get others to start looking at a different point of view.
I have not learned how to post thread addresses YET, Enjoy Woody

tolulene is destructive to the seals used in the injectors... most aftermarket injectors are seal-less but the stock ones are not

they cause them to get brittle over time and eventually will fail. causing an injector to stick open, or even worse.. break. leaning out whatever cylinder it feeds

Okay, you children play nice !!!

If you really wanna increase your octane level without "snake-oils" "octane-booster " etc, etc. HDDP posted a chart for mixing race gas with 91 octane to boost octane numbers. Takes out all the guess work and IMHO a lot cheaper dollar wise than the off shelve booster crap

Just my Dos Centavos

the off the shelf stuff is garbage, torco and klotz work and then you have race gas. I am fortunate enough to have a station 1 mile from my house that sells 100 octane but it is still cheaper to use the klotz and it is safe.

yea most octane boosters are total bs.
did a dyno test with one and the motor actually lost power, about 3hp and 5ft/lbs.. all other variables were the same

stick to torco... and if you want octane boosters.. buy race gas

Klotz is also a major manufacturer of race gas and sponsors pro racing all over the world, their octane booster is as effective as torco and you can get a gallon shipped for $60 if you look around.

It cracks me up to see kids with their hondas at the parts store wasting $20 on multiple bottles of the off the shelf ultra horsepower 6000 octane booster lmao.

Oh I do not hate on any car unless it is riced, lmao. I had a 300whp tiburon that was a lot of fun. A few years back I had a big block corvette that was a blast as well.
