anybody ever have a temp sensor go bad?

I've replaced many bad temp sensors................most were smashed or broken though.

I had the same problem before and just like Moparrbust, I've also replaced many bad temp sensors, they just malfunction and gets broken...

My ambient temperature sensor got bumped from the side. Replaced the lower grill and temperature sensor. The sensor's plastic mounting bracket now want securely hold the sensor after the side bump causing the hole to slightly enlarge. You might know the cheap plastic bolt on bracket isn't a replacement dealer part. If I can't find a wrecked crossfire somewhere to remove the part,I'll have to melt the bracket with a heat gun then squeeze the hole back smaller. Squirrel

Which temp sensor?? I have never replaced a coolant sensor on a Benz engine other then being broken by user error. IAT sensors do go bad after time and the ambiant temp sensor brackets get broke often.
