Default 5 Speed Auto shifting problems

I have about 2500 miles on the car so far. About 1 week ago I noted that the shifting from 2nd to 3rd was very abrupt (car lurched) when I accelerated fast. I had been thrilled and literally enjoyed the way the car shifted through the gears when accelerating fast. So it was quite noticeable to me when the car started acting differently. My bud who goes to lunch with me thought that it should shift like that and I was making a big deal out of nothing. But those of you who have accelerated in the 5 speed auto know that when you accelerate fast the shifting seemed very smooth. Now it is almost redlining before it shifts. It goes into the shop on Friday...hopefully they will find something out of adjustment.

Default 5 speed automatic transmission ISSUE continues....

I guess there is no one else with my problem.... but I went in and the dealer said that the transmission is adjusting to my style of driving. They said to drive it easier and it would return to normal. I really didn't put much faith in their answer and after 1 week of driving it like a baby, the car is still shifting abruptly (especially when it sits for awhile). Sometimes it downshifts abruptly now too. :x
This is a 5 Star dealership but I don't think they have the training on the Mercedes transmission to debug the problems.
Does anyone know if we are covered under warranty if we take it to a Mercedes dealership? :?:

Any guidance from anyone out there that knows anything about the transmission?.....

Default Transmission

The dealer is right. The trans "learns" your driving pattern.

Try unplugging the battery overnight. I believe this will cause the transmission to forget your driving style and go back to factory. This is how it is for some other cars, but not sure about the Crossfire. Worth a shot anyway.

Default shifting

My wife and I purchased our crossfire in July. We have taken many road trips and have pushed the car to some limits at times but never have had shifting problems. Please let me know what happens.
