Default Transmission question

I was wondering if anybody has done any modifications or upgrades (shift kits etc.)to the automatic transmission in our beloved vehicles. After years of drag racing mopars I know that impressive gains can be made. I also realize that ours is a closed system fluid wise. Does anybody know about the type of transmission fluid. I believe it's ATF-4.

Default Re: Transmission question

There has been much debate about this on the MB forums, some say ok but most posts I have seen say stick with the MB stuff(fuchs or shell). I just purchased Fuchs Titan 4134 which was developed for the newer 7 speed trannies but is backwards compatible. Meets 236.14 approval. Will post review. Supposed to get it on Monday. If you have more than 40K on your tranny I would recommend changing the fluid and filter asap.
