Fluid for Limited Automatic Transmission
Hello,
I have searched here and on the .net site for the proper fluid to use in the automatiic transmission for a Limited. I have found the Mercedes oil for the Sprinter vans at my local Dodge dealer. I am "OK" paying the $25.00 per quart but are there any less exspenive alternates?
Thanks

TRANSMISSION FLUID
Shell
3403 Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) when new is red in color. The ATF is dyed red so it can be identified from other fluids used in the vehicle such as engine oil or antifreeze. The red color is not permanent and is not
an indicator of fluid condition. As the vehicle is driven, the ATF will begin to look darker in color and may eventually become brown. This is normal. 3403 also has a unique odor that may change with age. Consequently,

Just a matter of pricipal I guess. $25.00 per quart just grinds on me. I don't pay that much for transmission oil for Bell Helecopters or the jets that I work on and these are worth millions!!!
