Check this out! Innovate Motorsports OT-2 - Transform your iPhone or iPod into a wireless gauge, data logger, dyno, efficiency meter and OBDII scan tool.
Looks quite cool! ;D

A couple comments. This is connected via the OBD-II port on your car. So yes it can technically measure any metric that the OBD-II reads. If you are in need of serious datalogging, this is not the way to go...here's why. The OBD-II port has serious issues with sampling multiple metrics at the same time on a high frequency rate (i.e. 1 sample/sec for multiple metrics). This will create a lag and make it difficult to properly datalog. Yes you could probably do one item at a time and measure that, but then if you do multiple runs with multiple metrics being record the environment and engine parameters will not be identical so they can not be compared against each other.

My $0.02

So what you are saying: Don't buy it?

I'm not saying you shouldn't buy it...if you just want to casually review one or two things, or use it to clear any codes you may get. However, I wouldn't buy it if I were going to try and seriously datalog multiple engine metrics. I would recommend something specifically designed for datalogging, like the Zeitronics zt-2.

Oh yeah, I definitely don't think that will be able to do that. I think probably the StarDAS system would be the best way to get that done. Though you can't go out and buy one without some very deep pockets. Maybe someone close to you has one...and knows what they are doing with it.

...hell, you might even want to try the MB dealer near you, they might be able to help.

IF you were to get the zt2 and DashDaq you could datalog, read & clear codes and display your engine parameters in metric. It would be a great addition for your car with your planned mods. Just getting the DashDaq will plug into the OBDII port and read & clear codes, data log the ODBII outputs and let you display the parameters of your choice. Without the zt2 you will still have the data speed limitations that Zahanma mentioned...
