Default Engine Oil Change

As the recent owner of a 11,000 mile Xfire Coupe that had the oil changed at time of purchase with Mobil 1,how often should I change it when the car will not likely be driven more 200 miles per year ???

Why would someone buy a Crossfire to drive 200 miles a year? Have you noticed the track record for resale value?

Life it too short, drive the dang thing and enjoy it!

I don't drive mine a ton but the oil is changed once a year whether it needs it or not. I hope you are using some type of fuel stabilizer too. I really don't drive my roadster a lot in the summer because of the heat here in FL. I have to use Stabil to keep the gas good and clean.

Certainly change the oil once per year. If you are going to only drive it 200 miles a year, put some fuel stabilizer in the tank to prevent the fuel from rotting out your fuel system or at least drive it 50 miles a month to "blow out the cobs".

Good call, i would opt to fill the gas tank up and stabilize it with a can of seafoam instead of just sta-bil.

As a fuel system additive, Sea Foam will clean carburetors, fuel injectors, clean carbon, gum and varnish deposits, add lubricity to fuel, stabilize fuel and control moisture. As an oil system additive, Sea Foam controls moisture, gum, varnish and residue deposits"

and all for only $6.99 !!!!

( I like the 'lubricity' part, rekon if my gas is lubricated, should flow better )

I noted that it worked as a good fuel stabilizer when i was reading about cleaning out the injectors in my friends dodge cummins by pouring it straight down the throttle body.

But i figure if your fuel is sitting that long, you might as well get a cleaner in there as well as a fuel stabilizer. Although i don't know how the rest of these forums feel about fuel additives.
