I will chip in on Speedriven, is a performance shop in Palatine Illinois. Rudy is an old hand on these cars and does great work. I had him do my TCU and install paddle shifters in my slk32.

A very true statement.
Take it to Chrysler: "DON'T CARE LOL, NO CROSSFIRE TECHS ANYMORE"
Take it to Mercedes: "DON'T CARE LOL, CAR IS ORPHAN NOW"
Take it to a Foreign Car Garage: "Sure, we can fix it. But were going to charge you out the *** and we probably can't do it. Have fun with your car being in the shop for a month as we ******* PEASANTS try to figure this out."

**** THIS COUNTRY.

However, because this is a serious problem that some automatic 04 Crossfires have (including mine, and it is a god-damn NIGHTMARE), and it is one of the most frustrating, I don't think this comment is very helpful. Have you ever even dealt with a water-damaged EGS/TCM? Its horrifying. Makes me feel like a 15 year old driving a manual.

Also, because of water-damage to my EGS/TCM, I am going to HAVE to buy this. I have no choice if "Reprogramming may be needed" I HAVE to buy it. My automatic mode is just completely shot, and doesn't work, and manual mode is stuttering and lurching the car forward, as well as not downshifting and idle-ing the car out at stop-signs/lights. It is pure, absolute hell.

This shop does great work and fast turn around. Send him an email Mercedes Swap shop
He tuned my ECU in one day and has a very good TCU tune.

"I appreciate your response, we didn't know the TCU needed programming"! You are a blessing.
