Default Best Mod Under $100

The votes are in...and the winner is, ROTEX GOLD BRAKE PADS! I've had these things on for 2 days and am mad I waited 1200 miles to put them on my new XFire. They are absolutely awesome. NO brake dust at all! No squeaking at all! To anyone who, like me, was sick of having dust covered wheels every other day, I highly recommend spending the $75.

Do you have a part #? Did you replace the fronts only?

The Rotex Gold part number for the front pads is:
D9740D

I only changed the front as the backs have not been a concern from a dust standpoint.

How easy are these to fit? Could I do it myself or am I better off getting a dealer to do it?

Reading other posts on the subject they are relatively easy to change. The other part to your question... only you know your level of mechanical ability, you'll have to answer that yourself. My dealer charged $70.00 to swap them out. Goodluck either way.

Saldous:
If you have any wrench turning ability, you can do it.
You don't need to open the hydraulic system to change the pads, so you don't need to bleed the brakes. It's just a simple pad swap.

Just remember "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey".
It's really quite simple.

I think the best mod for under $100, for performance, is K&N filters. JMO
