Default Strange noise

I have a 2005 Roadster with 43,000 miles. It has developed within the past few months a high pitched noise when traveling in excess of 40mph. Because I have some hearing loss, I did not hear it when I bought it but my girl friend said it is driving her bats. Now I hear it all the time as it seems to be getting louder. I am having a tough time figuring where it is coming from whether it is in the airduct or glove box or engine compartment but when the wind blows it is worse.

Sounds like a high pitched whistling sound. Any ideas out there?

Happens on mine when the Mrs doesn't close the door right (the glass top rear passenger door hangs up on the trim at the corner). I just pop the passenger glass down a sec, then back up and it seals just right. Taking it in or removing the door to realign the glass just isn't worth the hassle. In the hundreds of times I closed the door for her, it only hung up about 5 times. Sounds like that air leak I get when that glass isn't seated right. If that doesn't work, try the 'wife left at home thing' JUST KIDDING!

You might have to get someone drive with you to try to isolate the noise. Tracing those things can be quite frustrating.
