Default car wont start

So I had to have my car towed about 2 weeks ago to have the clutch replaced. The flywheel was only lightly damaged so they didnt replace it. 3 days ago my CEL came on and I took it to my school today and hooked it up to a scan tool and got lean in both banks. Popped the hood and the needswings intake was not connected to the throttle body. Breather hose was also unplugged as well as a small house that connected to a white hose that went toward the trans. Connected everything and itran fine. Went to sands pa after class went to start my car in the parking garage after it revved to like 1500 then shut off the first 2 times then just wouldnt turn at all. Tow alarm button blinks and the keyless entry doesnt work. Any ideas?

Disconnect the battery and try again. If you get two attempts to start and then nothing - sounds like the antitheft system has kicked in for some reason (skreem module).

Well that may be a lead. Pulled out the fuse and it turned then cut off. Any ideas from there?

YES---If you get the "three time" cycle---this is it. BE CAREFUL---You ONLY have 10 of these cycles---30 tries TOTAL; this is it---After that the ECM "thinks" the car is being stolen and "self-destructs".

How do I know this---

Two ways---

First----I read it on MB World after my car had your problem. I TOLD the dealer and MADE them sign that they would NOT try more than 30 times INCLUDING my 6 attempts---3 on my own---3 in front of them. I not only told them; I showed them. I even printed off the MB World post.

Second---When I got a NEW ECM because the dealer BLEW the original one up by going over 30 times---Since I had in writing that they would not KILL my ECM, it was no cost to me.

MAKE IT CLEAR to the shop or dealer about this----Good luck.

When you say "self destruct", is it like Mission Impossible with smoke and all, or does it just wipe it's programming ?

I do not know about the smoke---I do know that the car has a new one---I was told by the dealer and have read that the ECM will STOP all communications---DEAD---It will not take a new program because it will not communicate at all. It is the back-up to the security system--You blow it; you will need to tow it.

This is why so I have been told when the SKREEM goes out it does the 3 and out---This is a built in signal to operator---or should be. You have to disconnect the battery to get a fresh 3 attempts.

So with a total death, there could very well have had a little smoke "Mission Impossible" style.

Before taking to the dealer I did several checks and test. The first ECM had a different sticker and was from Germany---The one in the car now is from Spain.
