'04 crossfire
Just bought 61,000 miles starts and runs great, cut it off and want start back, key turns fine, lights come on but want turn over to start. I can wait a couple hours or so and turn key on an off a couple times and it will start! Cut it off and same thing all over again, I appreciate if anyone could help, I'm new to crossfire!!!

It can be a corroded battery cable, or a few other things.... but it seems it is ALWAYS the solder on the RCB (engine control relay) that feeds the PTCM/ECM.
Resolder any odd looking lands, or just resolder the whole board (that is what I did) and you should be fine.

I appreciate that, I'll look it up, I've been tore up about it cause just brought my xfire home after buying it and this happens!! Thanks, so much.
Ahaha, hiflyer samething happened to us.. after buying it on the way home with 44k miles broke down. To only start like once a day and run for 10mins..then dies edit, and 5o thank this forum for there help..
First, you can download the service manual for free here on the forum, you should do that.
Second, it is in the big box next to the battery. The RCM is the one farthest from the side of the car, that is, the one farthest back as you reach for it from the passenger side.

Yep!
Still trying to catch up with all that has happened. How many times did you get married while I was out???
Tighed1 provided a link in his response but let me take this one step further.. "typically" red text is a "click on" text for another thread, just in case you didn't know. As in my signature in the end of this post.. RCM video
Well, I bought my xfire and I just spent another night working on it, it has 63,000 miles 04 crossfire! I drove it home a couple hundred miles and it ran great but 99 percent of the time it want crank over to start. Then out of the blue it starts an runs fine. I checked the RCM and it looks fine, so the other night we pecked on the starter and it started 3 times when we would bang on starter. So got new starter in today and installed it when I got in and the car will not even offer to turn over. Battery seems fine, battery cables clean and now new starter, I'm am so aggravated I thought for sure it would start when I finished putting new starter on that I have worked on for 2 evenings. Just bought my car about 2 to 3 weeks ago and it would be great to enjoy but No luck at all for me. Appreciate any good info

You need to use magnification to see the hairline cracks in the solder - the naked eye (down Pizza-easy boy - I said "eye", not "thigh"!) won't pick them up.
You can fix the bad ones or refloat all of them (like Pizza suggested). You'll be surprised when you look at them with magnification.
Good luck

ok, i pulled RCM back out and magnified and yes i found the bad lands, thanks for the help. Do you know if theres a specific solder i need to use to fix this board?
