I guess the first question is if the new battery solved the lock/unlock problem?
You will probably have to re-set the fob to open the doors, it all depends how long the batteries were dead.
Did you turn the light switch to OFF?
WE need to know everything to help.

The new batterys in the fob and car did nothing to help the problem. This first came up a few weeks ago. Was raining and the alarm went off for no reason. I was able to shut it off with key fob but noticed the interior light stayed on. Then the fob stopped opening the doors and hatch. All I have done so far is replaced the batterys in fob and car. When I hit the buttons on the fob the lights flash. My new problem is the running ligths are on and will not turn off. So have disconnected the battery to save it from running down. The key fob still does not open anything. I am not sure what esle can add to this and do appreciate any and all help thanks guys

I'd guess you have water in the trunk and it has damaged the pump/security module under the foam on the passenger side in the trunk. Take the panels out, the foam out and look at the pump. You may be able to see water down the side of the foam, if so pull the plugs out on the underside of the trunk on that side. Water may run out, if it does you should dry the pump out. and look at this how to.

After you check 180's solutions, I think Your alarm might be an issue as well Thse things happen when the Battery dies, and then when the siren / alarm dies.

This forum is amazing ! Thanks to everyone for the help. There was 2" of water in the wells. Who ever had the car before me put some kind of undercoat over bottom pan so could not even see drain plugs. Everything was soaked. I cleaned the pump as well as possible. It did stop the running lights from being on but am afraid is no good so ordered one I found on e-bay. I would never have even tried to fix this with out all the great advice given here. I will let you all know how the new one works out. Thanks again for all the help. Crossfire buyers should be given the link to this site with the keys to there car
