Default Transmission sticking after WOT (Auto)

New Srt6 owner. Sometimes after WOT the car wants to stay in 3rd or 4th. Cant really get it to replicate.

Also the car idles pretty rough. Very noticeable while in gear but stopped for periods of time.

And the IC pump is dead. Have a new one on the way...

Did I get a lemon?

Where in Alabama ?
I'm in Lineville.
Have you checked the fluid level in the transmission ?
Rough idle often points to vacuum leak(s).

If you were having pump problems, I would wait and see if the new pump straightens out your tranny problems. When the S/C is kicking in and out, like that it tends to confuse the tranny as well.....It is the same thing for those who launch full throttle then back off suddenly, and the tranny won't shift because it thinks you want to go all out.....

Not sticking. Tranny is working as it should. The tranny holds the gear thinking you are decelerating. Give it a little more gas and it will change up a gear.
