Yes, I think you did. In post #8 hardknocks6936 stated:

"yes i did.....no start after or engine crank after having the battery cables touch...."

It didn't go through any cycles of starting and stalling when reconnected.

He also replaced the battery with a new one at some point and had no crank at all.

His Crossfire degraded from initially just throwing a code to cranking with a quick stall (only twice) to not cranking at all even after disconnecting the battery. I don't see any indications of a SKREEM malufunction. That's a good thing.

Would you agree that it makes the most sense for him to first eliminate the possibility of the #1 cause of all the symptoms he has experienced? The RCM.

Seems "most" the times the RCM acts up is when it heats up from the car running.. but you can't rule it out. Member of the face book page.. discovered rodents had made a meal of wiring after replacing the battery for "no start".. so those are the two areas I would be looking into.

He's sending the RCM in to be checked.
Standby.

OK, I took that to mean it would not even begin the three cycle crank/start/die scenario. So we have no crank with a new battery after the computer was sent out and tested good. A CEL with some unknown code.

I don't see a report of both FOB being used to try and start the car...

Yup, that leaves the RCM as the most common issue. If this were my car I would put a Bosch CPS on order for the glove box.

Did he ever get his car running? And what was it?
