No start/anti theft issue
I am hoping someone may be able to help me. My battery dies over the weekend so I purchased an everstart battery at Wal-Mart that google said would fit. It went right in and my car started right up. Next morning I jump in start er up and head to work. Its about 20-30 min drive and I notice nothing except the cruise control will not engage until later in my trip and after several attempts. I work 8-9 hours jump in to go home, engine turns over and cuts (anti theft I believe). This happens twice followed by nothing except all electrical on when trying to start the 3rd time. I have tried every reset that I found that makes sense (pulled the battery cables, soldered the RCM connections) the most I get is two more failed starts. How do I reset whatever is causing the anti theft system to not allow my car to start??

Can you possible be a little more specific on where to find this fuse? I am not really a mechanic (ok not at all) and I am stuck at work. I also read I could maybe remove fuse #9 if this is a SKREEM issue but have no idea where that is either
And fuse 9 has nothing to do with a Skreem issue.. Great for a wailing alarm module or if your tired of overhead lights and fob functions..
And.. if I recall correctly.. about 30 minutes with the battery disconnected.. turn key over to run position.. turn key off and reconnect battery has worked a time or two.. Basically fully discharging the electrical system for a "reboot"..

Raise the hood on the driver side, beside the fender at, the very back you'll see a small black box ;about 6 inch by 10 inch. On the front, take your thumb ,pull the tab back towards the driver's seat on the looking at it left side, lift the other tab up. Lift the lid off ,looking directly into the box with good lite ,they are numbered. It's the very first ,one closest to the headlight the color is red. It has a 10 on it. If you look at the plastic molding you can see the raised lettering for the number 9 fuse. This is only for the anti theft alarm. If that dozen work, remove #35. Its the radio frequency remote control. Let us know
Greg's right go for 35 straight off , forget #9

To maybe clarify a little more.. check that fuse 35 is good.. 1 guy actually had his unseated in the socket which was his 3 attempt fail cause.. so if it checks okay.. try to start the car 1 time.. if no success try the battery (30 min) reset mentioned a few post up..
"checked" fuse 35 you mean? About the only thing I have left.. there was a case of the glove box (roadsters only) that had triggered the security mode.. short of this might have to go with bad skreem module..
Is there any chance that this car doesn't like the battery that I purchased? And if it is my skreem module is replacing at the only answer? There's no way around it? It's just not going to start until I replace it?

If your reconnecting the battery an you still get 3 tries an no start....Yes , it time to get a SKREEM module. If the battery has enough, to try an start, even if it doesn't , it not the problem. Turn the lights on , if they are bright the battery has juice!. Rob @ Needswings.com can help from here. Contact him! Sorry we couldn't get you home...I know it sux!!!
