Default SRT No Crank

Okay just got the valve cover leaks fixed after the car was sitting for about a year before that it was running fine. Now I have this new problem. Ragin Cajun reported the exact same symptoms back in 2015 in the attached thread but he never gave a solution.

Symptoms: After car sits for awhile it will start with no codes or lights on the dash. It appears to be running fine. Once I try to drive it and get over 30mph the speedo goes to zero, brake wear indicator turns on, BAS/ESP light comes on, brake light comes on, ABS light comes on. My cheap OBD BT code reader detects nothing when I read the codes even though all the lights are on. If I put the car in park I can no longer put it in drive without using the cheater door. After I turn the car off it will no longer crank at all. Turning the key to the crank position does nothing. Does anyone have any ideas?

Tried so far:
Reflowed the solder on the RCM

Thanks, Chris

Sounding like the speed sensor on the conductor plate in the trans. Others will have to chime in and confirm.

I wanted to believe it wasn't true but this thread says the conductor plate can cause a no crank issue. First I'm going to send my RCM to DJ for an overhaul and if that doesn't work the conductor plate will be next. I'll update with my findings as things happen.

Thread on conductor plate: https://www.benzworld.org/forums/w14...-problems.html

If I do end up replacing the conductor plate then I will also put in the blue solenoids (240 270 00 89) that everyone raves about.

Thanks, Chris

I wanted to follow up to let everyone know that it was the RCM all along. DJ replaced the relays on it for me and everything is working great! I advise everyone to get their RCM reworked asap.

Summary:
Mystery no crank with a transmission that will not shift out of park and a speedometer that doesn't work can still be the RCM.
