Putting in my lighted door sills. Need help
Got all my wiring for the sills routed.
the official directions say to use a black/yellow/white wire on the passenger side for power. The only wire like that on the passenger side is a thicker black and yellow wire with white bands.
I wired the grounds to the brown/pink wire on the passenger side.
seems everyone went against the directions and worked from the drivers side.
any help?

What a nightmare. The official instructions were drafted by an absolute moron. Have the ground wires connected to brown/pink and the red wire to black/yellow/white and nothing.
yup. I’m now on the drivers side. I unsoldered all the wires on the passenger side even though the official instructions say do it on the passenger side. I’ve extended the power and one of the grounds to reach the passenger side.
again, the instructions were written by a moron.

That is the wire, black/yellow with white bands, the instructions make sense to me.
the power wire needs to be extended behind the bulkhead carpet, then you tap and solder that power wire to the Red wire with gray stripe in the wiring bundle along the bulkhead on the drivers side.
the brown ground wires are connected as so. Passenger side tap and solder to the brown and pink wire in the passenger door switch. Extend the second brown ground wire to the drivers side and tap and solder to the brown and gray wire on the drivers door switch.
presto, working door sills. With this knowledge this is really at most a 2 hour job, if that. Do not follow the official instructions, they’re wrong. Also, my sills were labeled incorrectly at the factory lol. They had a left label on the passenger sill and vice versa. You can tell if they’re backwards because the exit hole for the wires has to be on the back of the sill, not the front.
so total **** job by the factory labeling and writing these directions. But got it done and everything is buttoned up. Mine are green to match the dashboard lighting. Blue never made sense. My phone camera created the streaks.

Great the hear you got them working. If they have been sitting for a long time not connected, the drivers can fail
I had that happen to one side then both. Had to pull the sills out of the car and remove the guts of the sill and replace the LED drivers and LED light strip with a replacement from EBay.
