Default Roof issues again

I tried opening and closing roof several times with engine on trying to reset my roofs memory, but still am not getting it to reprogram. Another issue that may be related is that when I try to use 10 mm wrench to lock deck lid down, it doesn't click like it used to originally, unless I slightly raise the deck lid. If I try driving like this, an alarm chime comes in. Any advise? My thinking is that I might have to remove center deck lid cylinder and have Klaus rebuild it again. If I try to manually lower roof, the alarm still chimes because, I assume, the deck lid latch isn't closing properly due to 10 mm issue previously described.

There are people here who know a lot more about this than me but if that latch / cylinder has been in and out before I would take a close look at its adjustment.

Hi, Terry a new member here. I have a '05 convertable and need the hydraulic struts and new top. Does anyone know where to get these parts? Or a specific parts place where I may be able to find them?

Thanks all

The hydraulic cylinders can be rebuilt. One of the companies is Top Hydraulics. You can order a new top from BAS International.

Again? WIthout knowing what went on before, it's impossible to help you. If there is a thread here you made on your problem, go back to it and post the comment above there - that way, we know the history. Just saying the top is not working "again" is so little information, it's not worth even trying to help.

Prior to this, had sent all hydraulic cylinders to Klaus for a rebuild, and reinstalled. Roof worked great for a year after that. Last year when I took it out of storage, tried using toggle to automatically open roof. Deck lid started to open, then froze. Decided to just manually open and close roof til I could inspect fluid level and integrity of hose fittings. At end of season, was going to put it back in storage, and when I tried to manually open roof, found that final lock down of deck lid wasn't clicking. It would click if I raised the deck lid off it's seat, but at over 10 mph, alarm would chime. I put roof back up and drove to storage without any chimes looking a lot less cool.

I think you HAD low fluid and bad cylinder(s), now I think you have either low fluid again, a sensor on a cylinder that was not seated quite right and came loose (saw this once) or a misadjustment/bad cylinder at the deck lid latch.
It's hard to say, I could be way off, but that's what I get from all of this. THe fact the lid won't latch right, even manually, is a dead give-away that you have something physically wrong with that latch.

The only guys I know that work on them and are GOOD at it, are in Florida and South Carolina. THey both travel to work on the cars, if you want me to contact them, PM me your phone number and I'll pass it on.
