Gidday all, quirky question and hopefully not a dumb one.
I just recently noticed that when I shift from reverse or drive into park or neutral, I hear a single chime coming from the dash. In 7 years of ownership (08 Roadster) I have never heard this before but it is probably due to the fact that the radio is usually on. I suspect it is a feature but I couldn't find anything on the forum or in the owners manual.
Please tell me someone else has noticed this and I don't have to subject myself to psychiatric testing, lol.

I get three chimes hen I shift into reverse? I thought it was just a quirk of my 2005 roadster.

 

Must be a European thing?

 

I think oldfogie is a brit, mine is a canadian market car,
"Ding, ding, ding......three dings is the winner.
Still stumped, maybe always there but by chance noticed it.
Now, with the radio off, every shift between gear to park or neutral there is a subtle single chime from the left dash area.
Or maybe, I have a gremlin?
