Default In operative key fob

I changed the batteries the key fob and now it doesn't work? I've tried the procedure in the Owners manual, and procedures on you tube, and still, no luck?
any suggestions, besides going to dealer or key fob specialist. They're pricey!
inserted the key into the ignition 6 times and pressed the unlock button. It worked, after awhile.
thanks for your concerns and reply.

Was it working before you changed batteries? How long has it been not working?

You are not telling us enough to make any determination.

Try pushing the button in a dark room and see if the fob lights. If not check the battery contacts in the fob. Sometimes when the batteries are replaced those tiny contacts get bent and don't touch the battery.
Also check to make sure you put them in correctly.
Here's a video:

I have not changed batteries in my fobs yet. This will help me in knowing they have two batteries. Thanks Mike
