If you do not turn your posts into a PDF guide, I will!

I wrote the guide below, but I like yours better.
I don't know Mark, that was very good. I like your technical write up better than mine!

Thanks for that suggestion. I have not tried that as yet, but will. I have noted that when I test drove the Crossfire and the system was cooling on both sides continuously, I was running the fan at full speed. Since then (the past several days), she has kept the fan at max and the system has been cooling ok, Not sure what that means, but hoping some of the experts here may have an idea what that might mean.

I thought by pressing "quick reply" I was responding to a specific post - apologies

It was in reply to:

I also checked on the Fuse 15 and it is intact. Given that the A/C appears to be working fine if the Fan speed is at maximum (for the past week and she drives it at least once a day), does that indicate anything pro or con regarding replacing or repairing the control module? Is the 30 minute "flush" still recommended?

Just a thought, try putting your fan speed dial at 3 or 4. Then tap the dial. Does the fan speed change without moving the dial? If it changes you might have a bad potentiometer in the dial. That might be why it works only at maximum.

I was about to try that but found that my wife changed the fan speed to 3 a couple days back and the system is still working normally. i am reluctant to try tapping or any other tests as long as the A/C seems to be working ok. One other thought I did have was for me to purchase a spare Control Module and have it shipped to Pizza Guy (if he is willing) to be checked and repaired if required. Then that unit could be held by him as a replacement for the next one (from the forum owners) that needs to be replaced (as this seems to be a likely prospect). Just a thought ...

I forgot to announce it - I no longer fix them. I am WAY too busy with my new role at work.

I have turned that all over to DJ in Arizona (Our RCM guy). I"m still here with free advice, but I cant spend time on repairs at this time as my work life is rather consuming. I am making a BIG contribution at work prior to retirement - I gotta teach basic RF (Radio), AC theory, intermod, noise measurements, etc. to a few new hires so I can retire.

Anyone looking for a new career in radio who would move to DFW, Texas should talk to me about it. We still have openings for entry level technicians.

I hope you are able to retire soon! I needed to make a small correction on your career request. "Anyone looking for a new career in black magic arts...." I am an embedded programmer who works on digital systems, are amazed by anybody who understands RF. The ability to suck vibrating electrons from the ether has to be magic.
