Question Spoiler will not operate

Can someone please help me please? My spoiler will deploy after 62 MPH but will not retract automatically or manually. The light on the rear spoiler switch does not light nor can I operate the spoiler up or down with the switch. I can manually move the spoiler at the motor. According to the Service manual the first step is to check pin 68 on the BCM and be sure it is under 1 volt. I am measuring 5 volt with the key off and on. I have unpluged the rear spoiler swith at the dash and I still have the same results. I have also disconnected all connections at the spoiler with the same results. I'm feeling it could be a bad BCM. Any help would be appreciated.

Most often that is caused by a weak battery.

Thank you, my battery is only about 1 1/2 old. I have had it on a battery tender for 3 days and with key on the voltage is 12.4.

.

Quite possibly, the 'open' limit switch is not making contact (which I believe tells the system the 'path' for closing is active). I have not looked up the schematic, it is an educated guess. Download the service manual in the documents section (free). Look for something limiting the spoiler travel when it is up, maybe a part of something is blocking the spoiler from fully opening which results in the limit switch not making contact. Good luck!

if all else fails I have a white spoiler fully functional for sale. You pay shipping plus 25 bucks an it’s yours. Pictures on request
Good luck 😊
