fuel pump for 2005 SRT
Please help. I'm new to this forum. I have an SRT 2005 with 26K miles. It has sat for 2 years without being started. I tried to start it and the fuel pump isn't working. So I'm looking for a new one. Where and which one would someone please suggest? I can buy one for $30 or $300. I know what I need for pressure but that doesn't necessarily clear it up for me. Any suggestions please!

If you are going to replace the pump, than you should also replace the filter.
Needswings.com has the correct fuel pump and filter for your car. They even have the lines and the bracket that holds everything if yours are rotted out.
Anywhere else you buy a fuel pump they will charge a core fee.

My best to you to get the SRT back up and running
As mentioned in the previous post "Needswings.com" is a reputable source for many Crossfire parts and Rob (owner of Needswings) has been a great support to Crossfire owners for many many years here.
I'm sure this forum will help you with any issues you have going forward

Well let's see what I did. First thing the fuel pump has power and is not working, consequently no pressure at the rail. Not sure which fuse controls the fuel pump (it would be nice to know) but I have power to the pump anyway, so a mute point I suppose. The car sat in my barn for two years without being started. I know very neglectful. Please don't pile on. No name calling please. I really just needed to know if I had to spend the $179 for the pump when they are all over for under a $100. I want to make sure I get a good pump even though it looks quite easy to change. I already have it in the air with the pump exposed. I'll replace the filter and drain the gas while I'm at it. I'm wondering where the relay is as well?
Can't think of anything else right now. I did notice that the original front tires are all cracked so will have to be replaced.
Another thing; why are these cars so cheap? These are nice cars. I put most of the 26K miles on this car. It is a great little car. It should cost more money, I just can't figure out why it doesn't.
I'm just getting it going to sell it. I'm getting to old to get in and out of it. Besides I've always driven it to fast. I know for a fact it will go to 157MPH. Actually it will go faster, I just quit there. I think it was about done. My opinion is 100MPH is the perfect speed for the car. Drives like a dream at that speed. Being from South Dakota with speed limits of 80MPH I have done a surprising amount of time at 100. Only one speeding ticket ( in Iowa),

The fuel pump relay is located on the Relay Control Module board, located in the box near the battery. Needswings is your first line of defense. James

Since the car sat for 2 years in a barn, what condition was the battery in when you tried to start it up? How old is the battery, since you have the original front tires on your SRT6?
The car is 19 years old, what maintenance schedule was maintained, apparently none over the past 2 years.
You should have a qualified mechanic (German car mechanic) review this car before it's sold. Hopefully it won't be a Band-Aid repair job to get it out of the barn, to sell to someone that has no clue, as to the complexity of the SRT6 Crossfire.
Are you expecting a premium price for this car, since you mentioned "how cheap" they are selling for at this time?
Do the right thing....

First i do not think your fuel pump is the problem, the pump shuts down after 10 to 20 seconds
and some people think the pump is bad. ,,these cars have two quirks ,#1 the Batt has to be great and less than 2 years old,
i say great,,, not good, you can have the same batt for years without a problem ...
. then one day the car want start, recharge batt still no start then install new batt ha ha car starts...
.#2 the rcm ,,,car will not start, replace the rcm relay control module car starts,,the RCM is the blood of this car.
most everyone on this forum has a spare RCM and a crank and cam sensor in the trunk.
If u have someone close to u that has a crossfire limited or srt6 they interchange, try to swap just to see if
your car starts good luck,,,,jim home of the worlds fastest crossfire

Interesting answers here, Thanks to all. I have power to the pump, doesn't work. However in all fairness I didn't run another ground to the pump which I will do. That is a possibility I suppose. I received from Needswings a new pump and filter yesterday. I wish I had ordered an Relay Control Module. Might still have to do that. If I find that there is no place for the juice to go then yes it might not be the pump. I'll figure that out soon enough.
I mentioned that the cars don't command much value and that I'm surprised by that. This is nothing new for me, I've thought that for a long time. As expensive as cars are now, I just think these are too cheap. Mine is a great little car, drives like a dream, gets good mileage and is fast. Looks good too, I get lots of compliments. I going to sell it because I'm not driving it anymore. When I get it ready it will sell quickly due to the fact that I'll just keep lowering the price until it's gone. I only paid $7,000 for the car
However I have a new issue. The headliner fell down. CRAP! Now I have to fix that as well. And I can't do it myself. Not and do a good job anyway. Not sure who, but I have to find someone to fix it. I suppose someone who does interiors. Any suggestions? I live in South Dakota.

All: Thanks for all the great suggestions. I installed the pump and filter yesterday and it started right up. Warmed it up and changed the oil. All I need now is someone to fix the headliner that fell down and two new front tires. I'm just not sure about the headliner, it sucks that it fell down. Oh well any suggestions for the headliner?
Took mine out (thanks to forum instructions) and had a shop do it 4 years ago here in Ontario Canada. Cost just over $100 Canadian.
Lots of information here.
