Default HELP! Drive belt tensioner question

Hey guys I want to replace the drive belt and tensioner on my new to me Crossfire, I ordered a belt and tensioner for Oreilys but when it got here the bung on the back of the tensioner that the dampener bolts too is non-threaded. I called Oreily's and had them check another unit on the shelf and all of their Murray's Pulley's brand tensioners have non threaded bungs on the back where the dampener should go. Is this a common thing? Or do I need to look for a specific brand of tensionier or different part number?

Quick update, I put a thread pitch indicator on the OEM torx bolt, and measured it with my calipers, 8x1.25 threads, tapped the Murray's pulley's unit and now it accepts the OEM bolt.

thanks

There are two versions: The dampener version and the non-dampener version. Apparently, only cars with manual transmissions had the dampener.
When I changed mine on my six speed graphite, the new one had no provision for the dampener, so I unbolted the dampener and threw it away.

Later, a forum member here told me that if you order the part for the 2003 SLK320, and specify manual, you get the right part. But ordering for a "Crossfire" means you only have one choice - which is why we do not order "Crossfire" parts, we order 2003 SLK320 parts.

But again, my car ran fine without it.

Thanks for the response I assumed it was something like Chrysler omitting the correct part number...will not for future reference
