Looking to figure out what these hoses are in the evap system.
Sorry it's my first time really posting here but I've been getting a slight gas smell in my cabin so I ended up looking at my fuel pump. I found a hose that popped but I can't for the life of me figure out what it's called. Any help is welcome.

DeKalb is correct. There are two leads that connect to the fuel pump. One is the positive, the other is the negative. They are under those protective rubber caps.
I just replaced my fuel pump and filter today.
I will be doing a how to post soon in my thread: My Journey with my 2006 Roadster "Svengoolie".
If you need more pictures let me know.

The hose in your photo that is rubbing on the electrical post I believe is the pressure relief hose. It runs from the fuel filter back to the gas tank. It relieves excess pressure in the system.Use a rag to clean the hose and you will find a Mercedes part number (probably starts with 170) and order that hose, or go to any auto parts store and purchase a fuel hose of the correct diameter (maybe John will post the info for you) and the correct length to make the repair. You can use stainless steel screw type hose clamps in place of those original bands that are crimped on the hose ends. You will need to have hose clamps to pinch the hose off up near the gas tank. Disconnect the end by the filter first and reconnect. Then acting quickly remove the other end and connect the new hose. You will get wet with spilled gasoline so do this in a ventilated area and expect to have some spilled gas.
Read M60A3Driver post after he gets it up with step by step instructions.
Not sure that is the source of the gasoline you smell, but it is a good place to start as the hose in your picture looks damage.

@NormNormalMan I'm going to a Mercedes dealer today to see if I can get a replacement hose. I have a leak from the fuel pump to the filter. The original hose failed. It looks like there is a liner inside of these hoses and the one inside of mine has collapsed and is blocking fuel flow. This may be the case with yours. I tried regular 5/16" fuel line and it started leaking worse. It may be caused by the cheap screw clamps I was using. I've ordered new clamps that should be here on Sunday.
I'll report back with any information.
Liner in fuel line collapsed. I tried to substitute 5/16" fuel line from a parts store and used screw clamps which are garbage.
