What is this wire for ?
2004 6spd 46k miles.
While driving dash lit up, cel, brake wear, abs, brake,bas/esp. Car runs great as is. Code 600.
this is the box next to the battery. Is it not used purposely or what is it supposed to go to?
Green wire comes into the box on its own, the sleeve its in contains only one wire. It leads to the back wall and travels down behind the battery then I lose it. Does it have anything to do with the code 600 problem?

That is a generic (and unhelpful) code that means there is an issue on the CAN BUS. And those lights coming on also indicate that the modules are having trouble talking to one another.
That wire looks like it was added for some accessory that someone added or was going to add to the car. I doubt it's related to the problems you listed.
Tell me this - is the speedometer working when you are driving along?
How old is the battery?
When starting the car, does the starter turn the engine over kinda slowly?|
How do the battery cables/clamps look?
Have you jump started the Crossfire? Have you used the Crossfire to jump start another vehicle? (A "yes" to either question would be a very bad answer.)
