Blower motor running with key off/out?
I expect something is wet that doesn’t like that! Yesterday we got an unusual amount of rain. And I did drive in water deeper than I would like to. In Tempe AZ so rain on this scale is very unusual.
any way I went out to breakfast this am and when I went to take off the battery was low. Click, click, click.
got a jump start and let it idle for about 10 min battery is a 22/09 so I went to ORilies to get a new one. Alt and battery tested good, but I noticed the hvac blower comes on after the key is off. Everything functioning normally with engine running. Fan speeds work, ac works.
pulled the under hood #36 fuse for now. But that means no AC, that’s not going to be great for the next couple months.
im going to leave the fuse out for a few days and hopefully something dries out.
passenger foot well was soaked!
any suggestions please!

I suspect the cowl drains are clogged. Search how to remove the cowl cover and clean out the drains, especially on the passenger side. When clogged, the water will overflow into the blower motor area, then to your floor. Important to get that issue taken care of due to electronics under the floor carpet.

Hi,
here's a post I did that shows how to remove the cowl to clean the drains. You might want to replace or remove the alarm siren while you're in there. LINK - Drain cleaning and alarm removal
You might also have a bad blower motor resistor. Here's a post on how to replace that: LINK - Blower motore resistor replacement

Pulled the cowl cover this am, expecting rain all weekend. Drains were very clogged up with piles of leaves on top of them. Shop vac got the leaves. And I used compressed air with an additional length of 1/4” tube to blow thru. Amazing how much dirt was in them. Hopefully clear now. Wish me luck in the upcoming storm. Only found the end ones. Is there a middle one??

Guess I missed a couple! Got 1/2” rain in about 15 minutes. Got maybe 1/3 cup dripped on to pass floor board. Big improvement but I’ll go back in one of these days. Pretty easy to ignore in PHX.
