I HAVE TWO CROSSFIRES THAT ONLY HAVE ONE KEY FOB FOR EACH. HOW DO I GET ANOTHER FOB AND KEY FOR EACH ONE WITHOUT COSTING A FORTUNE? I'VE ONLY SEEN FOB "SHELL CASES" FOR SALE.
There's not too many options that aren't expensive, you may get a discount with having 2 keys made but you'll have to send in original key with a 5 working day turnaround. I had mine done here: https://themercedesswapshop.com/?page_id=211
it seems that an innovative electrical engineer could make a module to replace the screem where no security would be required. I don't think a lot of thieves are looking to steal crossfire autos! All "i would want" is a key to unlock the door and turn the ignition on and soft locking system to get into the hatch. Of course no need to replace unless you lose your fob or the security system has failed.
If you don't want the security, just get a screem delete. Believe me all of this has been discussed for years. Use the search function in the top L/H corner of this site.
